New Permanent Housing Project Approved By HUD
FLSC recently got a call from Senator Kerry’s office informing us that our proposal for a new permanent supportive housing project for disabled families has been approved. This grant award is for $55,300 and will allow us to lease out 3 three-bedroom apartments to 3 disabled families (Maximum household size – 6). Overall, this new grant will increase our federal revenues by 34% (16% in total revenues), which will in turn permit us to expand our permanent housing bed capacity by 600% (72% in total bed capacity). This new project should bolster our reputation as the leader in housing for the homeless in Northern Berkshire County.
